Scholarships:

 

Tuscola Rotary Club Scholarship: This annual scholarship is available to Tuscola seniors and awarded in the amount of $2,000. Applications are available in the Core and are due TODAY.

 

ARTCo Scholarship- ARTCo (Actors’ Rural Theatre Company) offers a $250

scholarship each year to a qualifying graduating senior in the Douglas

County area. Applicants must be involved with the arts (either in school or in the community) and their intended field of study must be associated with the arts. Applications are available in the Core and are due TODAY.

 

Tuscola Masonic Lodge: This local scholarship is available to seniors in the top 40% of class rank. Applications are available in the Core and are due May 1st, 2018.

 

Tuscola Education Association: The Tuscola Education Association will again be awarding scholarships to deserving TCHS seniors. Applicants who are eligible would be those who plan to major in education or those who show high potential, dependability, citizenship, and/or need. Applications are available in the Core and are due May 1st, 2018.

 

Dr. Dana Mattix Memorial Scholarship: This scholarship is to aid students with college expenses who are majoring in a healthcare field. Applications are available in the Core and are due

May 9th, 2018.

 

Be Brave: The Be Brave for Petey Organization is again offering scholarships to graduating seniors in the area. Applicants are asked to write about an incident where they have resisted the temptation to use substances or about a time that they've helped a friend who is struggling with substance abuse. Applications are available online at http://www.bebraveforpetey.com/services.html and are due May 11th, 2018.

FFA Members don't FORGET cookout during lunch TODAY FFA meeting will be in Ms. Pirtle's room.

 

All genealogy students for Activity Period meet in the art room till the end of the school year.

Post Prom has 10 spots left, first come first serve. Money and Consent forms must be turned in together to get a spot.  

 

Douglas County CEO will be having a trade show TODAY at Yoders in Arthur 5-7pm.

 

All students who are attending the Art Institute field trip, and are unsure of details, please check your school email TODAY.

 

Any student that applied for a job at the Tuscola pool, please see Ms. Holmes today.

 

Seniors who are not on court and who would like to walk in at coronation, need to sign up in the office by the end of the day on Thursday, April 26th.

 

There will be NO art club this Thursday, APRIL 26 due to the Field Trip.

 

Cheerleader Tryouts - May 1st - May 3rd from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.

 

Tuesday, May 1st, Students- Please do NOT park in the south lot this afternoon.  It will be used for the EP conference track meet. All students need to park in the north lot or at EP after lunch.

 

Spring sports awards nights have been set:

Baseball and girls track on Tue, 5/29.

Softball and boys track on Wed, 5/30.

Both nights being at 7:00 in the HS gym.

Ladies there will be a Juniorette Women's Club Meeting next Monday the 23rd. If you didn't attend the first meeting that's okay. All are welcome. Please come to learn more!
