EIU will be here on Tuesday, Nov. 13th during AP.

 

       

Scholarships:

 

Eastern Illini Electric Cooperative- EIEC has announced that twelve scholarships, of $2,000 each, will be awarded in 2019 through the Thomas H. Moore Illinois Electric Cooperatives (IEC) Memorial Scholarship Program. Six scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors who are the sons or daughters of an Illinois electric cooperative member receiving service from the cooperative. Applications are available at https://aiec.coop/iec-memorial-scholarship-official-rules/ and are due December 31st, 2018.  



National Wild Turkey Federation- The NWTF is again offering the Dr. James Earl Kennamer Academic Scholarship to a graduating senior. Applicants must be a current member of the NWTF. Applications are available in the Core and are due January 1st, 2019.













Announcements:

 

The balcony is closed for lunch until further notice due to students failing to clean up after themselves.  Lunch should be eaten in the cafeteria, outside, or off-campus. The balcony will be available to wait for the bell after eating - but no food or drink is allowed.

 

Football will be celebrated prior to the start of their game TONIGHT.  Cheer, Cross Country, and Golf will be celebrated at halftime of the football game TONIGHT.

 

Key Club is hosting a Coin Drive in the front hall before school, during lunch, and after school to help Direct Relief. All of the money donated goes to help the efforts after the recent Hurricanes Florence and Michael. Please donate to support this good cause! TODAY IS THE LAST DAY.

 

There will be a mandatory Student Council Meeting in the Study hall TODAY during lunch. Please see Ms. Holmes or Mrs. Rominger before Friday if you are unable to attend.

 

Freshmen, we need two workers first half and two workers second half for the game TONIGHT See Mrs. Lareu to sign up. If we don't get workers, your class will not receive the money.

 

There will be no GSA TODAY during lunch.

 

For those intending to play girls basketball, there is a mandatory meeting this Sunday night, Oct. 21st  at 7:00pm , following voluntary open gym from 6-7. Please bring a parent. Meeting will be in study hall.

 

Sophomores: See Mr. Bozarth if interested in applying to attend the HOBY Leadership camp. This is a fun, interactive leadership training this summer. Applications are due

Friday, October 26th.

 

FBLA members should pay their $15 dues to Mrs. Hanner by Oct 31st to remain on the membership list.

 

Douglas County CEO will be hosting a 5K and family fun night on November 3. Find more information in the office. Registration and service hour opportunities are available. See Sara Kremitzki with any questions.
