Scholarships:

 

Eastern Illini Electric Cooperative- EIEC has announced that twelve scholarships, of $2,000 each, will be awarded in 2019 through the Thomas H. Moore Illinois Electric Cooperatives (IEC) Memorial Scholarship Program. Six scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors who are the sons or daughters of an Illinois electric cooperative member receiving service from the cooperative. Applications are available at https://aiec.coop/iec-memorial-scholarship-official-rules/ and are due December 31st, 2018.  

 

National Wild Turkey Federation- The NWTF is again offering the Dr. James Earl Kennamer Academic Scholarship to a graduating senior. Applicants must be a current member of the NWTF. Applications are available in the Core and are due January 1st, 2019.

 

Mediacom Scholarship- Again this year, Mediacom is offering 55 $1,000 scholarships to senior high school students who live in the 21 states where Mediacom provides cable, internet, and telephone services. Apps are available at www.mediacomworldclass.com and are due

February 15th, 2019.

 

Illinois AMVETS Service Scholarship: Any senior who is a child or grandchild of a veteran is eligible to apply for this scholarship. Applications are available online at http://www.ilamvets.org and are due March 1st, 2019.

The GSA is holding a Bake Sale during lunch  TODAY. there will be a table next to the cafeteria by the ticket booth, We will be selling baked goods, snacks, and drinks.

 

TODAY is our Annual TCHS Ugly/Fun Christmas Sweater Day! Prizes and other fun for all who wear Ugly/Fun Sweaters! :)

 

FBLA meeting TODAY at lunch in Mrs Hanner's Room.

 

Good luck to the Dance team at the first IDTA dance competition this Saturday, Dec 15th at Villa Grove High School. They are scheduled to perform around 9:20 am.

 

There is a baseball informational meeting for players and parents this Sunday night (the 16th) at 6:00 in the study hall.  Contact Coach Carver if you can't make it

 

Any student Council member planning to attend the Winter retreat at Oakwood H.S. on January 9, 2019, please sign up with Ashton Smith before Dec 20, 2018.  A flyer is posted on the student council board outside the counselor's office.

 

Juniors and Seniors:   If you are interested in learning how to use pepper spray for self defense, the District is having a free training session on Friday, December 21 at East Prairie in the band room at 2pm.  Come see Mrs. Fowler if you want more info or want to sign up!

 

Anyone interested in lifeguarding needs to see Ms. Holmes before Christmas break if you want certification information.

Just a reminder: TODAY we are on an early dismissal at 1:50 today.  You will have periods 1-6 and then your lunch will be 11:49-12:38 and then periods 7&8 after lunch.

 

Auditions for the spring musical, Once Upon a Mattress, will be TODAY after school in the choir room. Please stop by and pick up an audition packet from Mrs. Steffens.

 

Ms. Voyles is leading another educational travel tour to London and Ireland in the summer of 2020. Anyone interested in the trip should attend an informational meeting TODAYat 7 pm in Ms. Voyles' room.

Be sure to check your school email for December’s Warrior Store. All you have to do is reply to the email that you want a order.  Be sure to respond by 4pm TODAY.

 

There will be a SADD meeting TODAY  at lunch in the study hall.
